Materials required for this project:
2 rectangles of fabric 8” x 9.5” (20 x 24 cm)
optional: 2 more rectangles of fabric for lining
Matching thread
5 tassels (pre-made or make your own)
2 yd cord (or make your own)
Sewing machine
optional for hand bound eyelets: awl
optional for hand made cord and tassels: DMC embroidery thread or your favorite yarn, embroidery, or crochet thread in linen, silk, etc

You must have Basic knowledge of sewing before trying this project. It is best if you know how to do the following:

A. How to place, pin, and cut patterns out of fabric.
B. Basic sewing using a home sewing machine.
C. How to align straight edges for sewing.
