Plunge Queen Dress With Pockets – PDF Pattern and Sewing Tutorial
This is a pattern and tutorial, with instructions to sew your very own plunge dress with pockets, in both long and short lengths. This is a basic pattern and tutorial. Absolutely perfect for everyday fashion, costumes, cosplay, and fantasy fashion projects!
This listing is for a Pattern and Sewing Tutorial that includes directions to create a halter dress.
This pattern fits approximately a 26” (66 cm) waist and was drafted for myself who is 5’4″.
The tutorial includes notes on how to adjust the size for both length and width.
This PDF pattern can be printed on both US Letter or A4 paper. There is also a single page file you can use with a projector.

Materials Needed:
5.5 yd (or meter) fabric* (long skirt) or
3.5 yd (or meter) fabric* (short skirt)
3 yd (or meter) plaid / checked ribbon
2 yd (or meter) lacing ribbon (I used 1/8” or 32mm satin)
3-4 snaps
8 metal grommets (optional – you may also use button holes)
*optional – you may replace snaps and/or lacing with a zipper

You must have Basic knowledge of sewing before trying this project. It is best if you know how to do the following:
A. How to place, pin, and cut patterns out of fabric.
B. How to measure using a tape measure. *
C. Basic sewing using a home sewing machine.
D. How to sew button holes.
E. How to align straight and curved edges for sewing.
F. How to sew snaps.
G. How to install a zipper (optional to close the opening at the top of the skirt in the back).
